Statistics show a grave and depressing scenario when it comes to animals suffering in the hands of men. Animals suffer all kinds of abuses in the United States it doesn't matter if it’s a pet or stray animal or farm animal and it doesn’t matter the area of society. This meaning that not matter what social class it is it still somehow is linked to animal abuse and neglect. There are hundred, maybe thousands of animal abuse cases that go unreported. People in the U.S. carry awful attacks on animals, both domestic and stray. The most common victims of abuses are: Horses, Livestock, Dogs, Cats, and Birds. Another category of animals that suffers abuse in the U.S. are the circus animals that live a torturous life. Circus animals are forced to perform for people’s awe. Animals like tigers, lions, and elephants are forced to perform shows and look fierce. No one in the audience notices tight collars, the whip lashing in their bodies, beatings and deprivation of food. Once the animal cannot take the suffering conditions anymore it tends to attack the abusers and when this happens the abuser then becomes the victim and the animal gets shot to death. When it comes to the old sick animals that can perform anymore are often sold to people just to make fast money. Often sold to people who have no idea of their care these poor animals end up abandoned or are abused more by their new owners.
Abuse can occur in different ways. Kicking a dog because it barks too much, cases where so called civilized people leave unwanted kittens out on highway sides.
Businesses like puppy mills and hoarding which are people who make money by reproducing breeds of dogs keeping the poor dogs in awful conditions. Caged or chained hell where the dogs have to suffer because of their abusive owners. There are two types of cruelty inflicted on animals by humans. Passive and active cruelty. Passive cruelty is when an animal owner lacks of action so the animal would not be in pain or suffering. Starvation, dehydration, and improper shelter are types of passive cruelty. Active cruelty is when the owner intentionally hurts the animal. Active cruelty scenarios where the animal is beaten, whipped, and burned. Animals can be abused in the following ways:

These organizations also provide shelter food and medical care for animals when rescued.
